Black And Blue.

Hello people.

Been a long time since I posted here. College keeps me busy, you know. Too busy. And then there’s Photographic Memory. Sometimes I have to make something new happen. Well, not some times, I should say everytime. Everytime I have to make something new happen to me everyday. Because that keeps me going. Stories. I love stories.

However, I am coming back home late, so uploading everyday pictures has become a problem. Because I can’t access the PC at night. Dad takes over it. And when he’s done, it’s bedtime. And I cannot switch on the PC. So I have decided that I shall upload pictures every Sunday. I’ll collect pictures throughout the week and lay them out and post them here every Sunday.

Here’s something I got hold of today.

BLACK AND BLUE.

So, I had nothing much to do after college except going back home. And I didn’t want to go back home. So, I went to Sovabazar instead. I was supposed to go to Salt Lake, but Raju had a tuition today, so that didn’t happen. I went to sovabazar with a friend. Got down there, and started working on a sketch. Which I’m working on still and will upload soon.

That is when, Das called. Soumya Das. Hadn’t met him for weeks. So I had to leave the illustration and get back to Kidderpore to meet him. On the way back, I saw this:
And, somehow I loved the frame. Had been long since I took a snap of a silhouette. And crows. In this, both were there. I loved the lines of wires. And how the two birds sat in the middle. A couple of ideas struck me as captions. Primarily one. One that discriminated urbanisation from nature. but I thought that was very cliched and would demean the picture because of the same fact. So, I perched on Black and Blue. Because, this is a silhouette that I snapped after long. And the blue is so prominent. I thought the title was apt and more fitting to the mood that the picture carries.

The second crow, bdw, is perched on the dish antenna some points below the center of the frame.

  2. The object in the center of the frame looks like a witch's hat and face to me :P
I really like the framing. If we just look at the wires, it seems like they are on a wall (vertically down).
'Black and Blue' is a good name but I wish you would have given something else (I don't know why but the name sounds similar to Jack and Jill) :P
    I love this image

    1. That was a very nice observation, Sharmistha. Gives an entirely different feel to the frame. :D

Looking at the wires make the picture look so surreal. :D I like. Haha. :)

The title came to my mind from the memories of a teacher who used to say, "I will slap you black and blue". I think it came from there. And the phrase is stuck on my head for a very long time. Had to channel it somewhere. Got this picture to do the honors on. And, what I love most about this frame are the two colors, so nothing could beat the title 'Black and Blue' when I named this. :P I know, it does sound similar to that. Rhymes similarly.

And, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. I'm so happy to see that you guys follow my blog. Thanks again. :)
