Tasher Desh (Q, 2013).
A brilliance by Q (Qaushiq Mukherjee). I am a fan.
The idea:
- 1. Umm…first, the hearts: I chose only the hearts because I looked at it as a kind of a romantic story. Because it’s the romance that delivers, rather releases the people in the Land Of Cards from their monotonous, and ruled life. It’s the relationships that provoke that state of freedom in them. It’s the HEART in them that is touched. And it’s the HEART that brings about the revolution.
- 2. Of course, the land of cards was filled with monotonous patterns and ruled by an authoritative power. Hence the Red-Black pattern that is all over the film and hence, the poster.
- 3. Now, the two harbingers of change are abstract and Adhbhut (strange) to the people at the land of cards. Hence their abstract shapes. Plus, they didn’t follow patterns. That justifies their shape.
- 4. The harbingers of change are humans, rather more-humans (than the people at the Land of cards who are consumed by patterns. Hence, their (the harbingers of change guys’) color is gray representing humanity.
- 5. If you observe closely, the glow that emanates from THOCG (the harbingers of change guys’), emanates more from the shape on the right, because he is the one who took the initiative. His partner helped him.
- 6. The glow, like their ideas, emanates and makes other people believe in those. Hence, the other people turns into humans, i.e., become gray.
- 7. There is a shadow beneath THOCG to show that they are above the other folks there. That represents that they have a broader outlook. Looks at things from a greater height, a broader view.
